Northline Studio

Brand & product design — Oslo / Berlin

We design the parts people actually touch.

A two-person studio working with founders on identity, product interfaces, and the systems that keep them consistent as the team grows.

01

Identity

Naming, wordmarks, and the rules that keep a brand recognisable at 16 pixels and on a billboard.

02

Product interface

Onboarding, dashboards, and the flows that decide whether someone stays past the first session.

03

Design systems

Tokens, components, and documentation your engineers will actually keep using after we leave.

They rebuilt our onboarding in six weeks. Activation went up 34% and support tickets halved.

What the Bento Grid style is doing

A bento layout is a grid with two tile sizes and one rule: the gap never changes. Here the hero tile spans two columns and two rows, secondary tiles span two columns, and everything else is a single cell. Because the gap is constant at 16px, the tiles read as one object rather than a set of cards, which is the difference between a bento and a masonry gallery.

Stylesheet
74 lines · 37 rules
Typeface
system fonts only
Built with
2x2 hero tile · constant 16px gap

Where it breaks: It needs content of genuinely different weights. Equal-value content in a bento grid produces awkward holes that no amount of CSS fixes.
