About this preview
The misprint effect is a hard text-shadow offset by one or two pixels in a contrasting colour, which imitates a second ink pass that did not register. Panels get their wear from layered gradients with irregular stops rather than from a texture image. The palette is restricted to ash grey, bone and one rust tone, because grunge fails the moment it becomes colourful.
Where it breaks: Legibility degrades quickly: the offset shadow that looks great on a headline turns small text into a smear.
